- 1 egg
- ½ cup white sugar
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- ¼ cup water
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Beat the brown sugar, white sugar, nuts, shortening, buttermilk, water, vanilla, egg and cinnamon.
- Add the other ingredients and blend well.
- Drop rounded teaspoons of the batter on to a pair of greased cookie sheets and bake for 12 minutes or until the cookies are firm and golden brown.
- Let them cool on a wire rack.
