  • 1 pack frozen roll dough, thawed
  • ⅓ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • ⅔ cup caramel ice cream topping
  • 3 cups chopped, peeled apples
  • 10 caramel candies, chopped
  • ¼ cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • Cinnamon sugar, to serve
  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Lightly grease a pair of baking sheets.
  3. Mix the flour, caramel pieces, caramel topping, lemon juice and apples until well combined.
  4. Divide the dough into 2 halves.
  5. Put one half on a floured surface and roll out a 4 inch round.
  6. Spoon 2 tablespoons of the apple mixture on to the lower half and brush the edges with milk.
  7. Fold the dough in half, crimp the edges with a fork and repeat the process with the rest of the dough.
  8. Brush the empanadas with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  9. Bake on baking sheets for 15 minutes and serve with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.
